Since 1976 she started drawing mostly with pencil to show details in different shades of grey as well as structured shades with ink on paper. These technics are fascinating to show depth without color and fill space with lyrical compositions.

So one lives through many summer days, Humid and dreamless beneath a shade. Here only one threat holds its sway: Water — where, in this burning world? The midday heat is unbearable, Almost as fierce as fires of Hell, Yet every day the little birds still chirp: Their tiny strength is quite immense. So dreams the little Bedouin Of the cool North of our world. He gives thanks to the sandy ruin: For shade that keeps him still alive. At evening, moon and stars shine bright, Helping, searching for new ways! For the distant tracks of camels Are swept away by the storms of day. Thus the desert is God's burning breath, It scorches both the soul and mind. And everything grows so very still… Has Hell revealed itself at last? Redemption will draw near, If God so wills it!"
